The Fit BastardI recently heard someone talk about a great exercise. I forget who mentioned it, but here’s the deal… What you do is write down your perfect day would be like. I think that’s pretty darn cool and powerful at the same time. So what would your perfect day be like?

Would it be time spent on the beach relaxing? Would it be riding a hot air balloon over the African Safari? Would it be a fun day of camping with your family? Would it be a life dream of scaling a mountain or swimming with whales?

Now I want you to take this fun little exercise to the next level. Write out that perfect day as if you were living in optimal health in the body that you desire and deserve to have and full of energy and optimism.

Did that just take the experience of your perfect day to a whole new level? Did it just redefine what your perfect day would be like?

Your goal is not to lose weight. Your goal is to experience life to the fullest. You goal is to do what it takes to achieve the level of health which allows you to make the most out of everything that you do and get the utmost enjoyment out of every adventure that you go on.

Doesn’t that add more purpose and meaning to your quick and intense 10 minute workout?

When you realize that the effort that you are putting forth towards your workouts and your nutrition plan is no longer about achieving a scale number, but instead your level of intensity is a direct correlation with what you are going to get out of life… you have just taken your health and fitness program to a whole new level.
