In appreciation for your loyalty and friendship we would like to present you with a chance to win the 3 fat loss products ($141 value), that we used to achieve 6 pack abs. For your chance to win, simply enter The Big Give Health Challenge below by submitting your story about why you should be selected at the end of this blog post.
Angie and I will be reading through your stories and on April 27th we will choose a winner. We want more than anything for you to experience the feelings and emotions that Angie and I are going through now. Our relationship has risen to a new level, we have more energy to play with our 2 children Shayne and Noelle, and we have an incredible zest for life. We are willing to do whatever it takes to help you achieve this same success.
About The Big Give Health Challenge
Oprah’s show The Big Give has inspired me to come up with my spin on her show in an effort to leave a legacy of positively impacting the health of as many people as I can. In fact it is my destiny to reverse the obesity trend and get millions of people living the life that they deserve in the body that they deserve.
The first thing that I’m doing to kick off The Big Give Health Challenge is give away all 3 of my fat loss products, “Unstoppable Fat Loss“, “The Fit Chic“, and “The Fit Bastard“, to one lucky person.
As I mentioned, it’s my destiny to reverse the obesity trend and it’s my hope that the winner of each of my Big Give Health Challenges will apply the quick and effective 10 to 20 minute workouts and the powerful motivation techniques in my programs to transform their body and become a role model to inspire others to live in optimal health.
Giving To Charities
The Big Give Health Challenge is much more than just giving my 3 fat loss programs away to a few lucky people…
Every month I am giving a percentage of my sales to after school programs that promote healthy active living for today’s youth. My goal is to give at least $1,000 each month.
As of right now the program that I’m choosing is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s After School All-Stars.
If you have any suggestions please send them my way.
What My Fat Loss Programs Can Do For You
For most of my life I was in great shape. A bit skinny, but definitely great shape. I fulfilled my dream of opening my own health club, got married to my beautiful wife Angie, and together we have 2 amazing children, Shayne and Noelle.
Owning a health club was not all that I thought it was cracked up to be. 16 hour days and stress out of the wazzu. Not being able to spend time with my family and the demands of my business led me down the path of depression and I gained 35 pounds of fat.
I went from thin and athletic to this…
![]() ![]() |
I realized that I was on my way to becoming a statistic. I didn’t want to be a contributor to the rise in obesity.
Even more important, I didn’t want to completely burn myself out and make myself useless to my wife and kids. I wanted the balance back in my life that I once had. I wanted my energy back and I wanted my confidence back.
I closed my health club, continued to train a select few clients in the comfort of their home, created a time efficient and highly effective workout program to use on myself and Angie and turned them into books.
The results from applying the techniques in my programs have changed our lives. Our relationship has risen to a new level, we can keep up with our 2 young children, our business has grown, our confidence has skyrocketed, and we have an overwhelming zest for life.
Just take a look at these recent pictures of me and my wife Angie…

If I could take the feelings and emotions that Angie and I are experiencing now that we are living in optimal health and allow you to experience them for one full day, you would drop everything and do whatever it takes to live like this every day.
Better yet… If I could allow you to experience what your life would be like if you placed your health as your #1 priority, you would allow nothing to get in your way of achieving this lifestyle.
Don’t sell yourself short. Live the life that you deserve!

I am 41. Typical overweight (okay by US standard obese) mother of three with a overweight husband that scares me that one day he may die from clogged vessels or a heart attack. He is slowly getting into the mode of getting into shape not to look buff but for us to grow old together. I point out your newsletters to him. It’s great to show him a couple with children working together for a healthier life than a already in shape young single man or woman who doesn’t really understand that family = busy. This Fat Chic is striding to be a Fit Chic while having my husband getting more interested and accepting of getting healthy. Thanks for the helpful info and motivation.

When I was a kid, I was pretty skinny. Then as a sophomore in high school, I started to gain weight as a result of having to take oral steroids to combat my eye condition. I started to gain weight and have struggled with it ever since. I’ve developed high blood pressure and am borderline diabetic. I have gained a tremendous amount of weight, in fact I am the heaviest I have ever been. Then my daughter was born this past December. There is something about having a child that changes you. You start to think about not being there to see her graduate, or to walk her down the aisle, and it scares you. I want to make a change. I know that I need to make a change. I just need some to help me get there.
I have made some changes. I have started walking every day and doing some physical exercises. I drink more water now and less soda. But I am still struggling to lose weight. I’m sitting at 439 pounds at the moment. I don’t want to take drugs or do surgeries or any of that garbage to conquer this. I know that the change has to come from within me.
I bought several programs over time. I’ve bought exercise equipment. I feel like Im fighting a losing battle. Ive even joined a couple of gyms but haven’t had the money to keep going.
Regardless of the outcome of this contest, I will continue to fight this battle. I’m not giving up , the costs are too high!
Thank you for considering me,
Michael Blaes

Scott & Angie - After finding your website back in February I have been taking a few minutes to review your statements each time you send an email. I can relate to the physical tole that running your own business can take on your body - your relationship and your mental and spiritual condition.
Back in January 2008 my wife, Liz and I agreed that we needed to do something — we are near 50 and feel 35 on the inside — our clothes did not have any more room for us to expand and when the button literally popped of my pants I said lets start doing some sort of exercises.
Liz found some videos at the department store. We agreed to workout at 8pm no matter what we had on our plate. We lost weight, clothes were loose, we had more energy and slept wayyy better. There was the beginning of some muscle tone - wow - I haven’t seen that ever. The videos were good for a while but they only worked certain areas. It didn’t help that everyone was 22 and always smiled as if it was no strain at all.
In April we fell off the exercise wagon - tax time - night school, paperwork. Seems like we have lost the motivation.
I miss the way I felt after exercising - tired, sore but knowing I was getting healthier than I have ever been.

I can’t move onto the next step. My brain is just not ready yet. I was exercising 4 days a week and watching what I ate and I lost 20 pounds, but I just couldn’t get motivated to do any more. I don’t want restrictions or a plan where I need to count calories or points. Even while I was doing all of this my blood pressure went up and I am now on medication that I really don’t want to take. Please help me get over whatever mental block that I have to focus on being happy and healthy.

As a 14 year old I weighed in at 230 pounds…my weight would continue to go up and down the scale as I would lose and gain weight over the years. At the age of 49 I finally decided that enough was enough and took control of my situation..I joined a gym and started to subscribe to your fitness blogs and others as well. So here I am now at 51, I have gone down from a size 14 to a size 8, but I still have a way to go yet..I incorporate all of what you have to offer into my life and seeing a change is just plain wow! I know that I would benefit greatly as would all the others. Thanks for all you do and may the best one win.

Hi y’all!
You are a truly inspiring couple! I’m a 43 yr old mom with a 3 yr old daughter and am still struggling to lose baby weight (plus some I had before!!)…but I’m on the way. I enjoyed the video clips I’ve seen of you two (with the kids popping in and out, love it!) - looking forward to seeing more! I know I will never look exactly like you, Angie (I am short and compact and even when I was at my perfect weight and in shape, I was not long and lean but more muscular and rounded!)…but I will be happy to simply be the best “ME” I can be for myself, my husband and our beautiful beloved daughter. I want to be around to enjoy her life and be a grandmother someday, and I want my hubby to be around with us! He is interested in getting healthier too, but tends to follow my lead in this since I have more time to research things than he does. This looks like something that can work for both men and women, very cool.
Thanks for the chance to enter your contest - and also for contributing to charities! We do that regularly too for certain ones, and it means a lot to be helping where we can.
God bless you and your family!
Sandra

I am a 44 year old short, reasonably fit and strong mother of two children who enjoys exercising. I live out of town so I usually exercise alone. Sometimes my Kids and or my Dogs join in on the fun. Two Great Danes standing over the top of you while doing situps give you a crazy kind of resistance training.
Although my husband is a truck driver, he is naturally built like a marathon runner. He unknowingly follows many of your principals. In everyday tasks he works at maximum pace, working four times as hard as the average man.
I Run a Design Busness from home so I spend a fair bit of time infront of the computer.
Scott,I was listening to one of your motovational audios rather late the other night and you inspired me to get started there and then. I did squats, pushups and jumping jacks ect and worked up a sweat. You also made me realise that I would get more out of my exercising with more effort put into it. Step up the pace rather that extend the time. I can also use these principals in everyday life situations. For example, I could sprint outside each time I need to change the retic rather than walk.
While my daughter is in her dancing class I normally jog around the oval, pacing myself. Next time I will alternate between short sprints and walking.
Kaylor, my 9 yr old daughter and I watched Angie exercise while being encouraged on by Scott while the kids are crusing in and out of the room. Kaylor wrote up an exercise program for us both to do based on some of my boxercise workouts. We had a ball doing it together.
Keep up the good work and inspire more people. Do you know you are also inspiring the children. You could also start a Fit Kids Program.

I will be 47 years old this Sunday, April 27. My own father had a massive heart attack at age 49 and open heart surgery at 51. Although I feel I am in better shape physically than most men my age, I still do not exercise enough. I try to get out and run a few times per week, but like most people, making time is often a problem. My wife and I are expecting our ninth child this coming June! We also have six boys and the youngest are 2, 4 and 7 years old. Did I say time is a problem!
Of course, they help keep you active, but I have found out that it is not so much that they keep you in shape, but that you need to be in shape to keep up with them! And I not only want to be able to run and play with them, but I would also like to be around to see them grow up! My dad’s heart problem caused his life to end at age 61.
Scott and Angie, I love the videos of you working out with children running around! That is a fact of life for my wife and me and I know it is for many others. Of course, the fact that you do quick, but effective workouts is great too!
Thanks for being giving with your workout programs. You have always seemed to have a generous spirit in your videos. In fact, I think you really like doing this and helping people!
Being a one income household, we are rather are rather tight financially. I think that your giving away of some of your programs and also of lowering your prices for a few days will be really helpful to many people!

I am a 35 year old mother of two ages 8 and 10. I was average weight (145) for my height (5′8″) and athletic before I had my 1st and never quite lost the dreaded “baby fat” before my 2nd. I got used to the added calories being pregnant and nursing allow, and the weight crept up and up. I was my heaviest at 185 3 years ago before we moved back to Colorado (and away from In-n-Out Burger)! I lost 10 lbs. right away, it’s just a healthier, more active lifestyle here. Then last year, I lost 20 lbs more by working out more consistently and making better food choices. I do not have any medical conditions that prevent me from exercising, but as I get older with Type II diabetes & heart disease in my family, and being the body type that gains around the middle, it’s definitely something I think about often. I am stuck at 155 and have been there for a while, 10 lbs short of my goal. 10 lbs might not sound so bad to some people, but trust me, its the hardest 10 lbs! When I was seeing results from my efforts, I looked forward to working out and never felt I was missing anything food-wise. When I first hit the plateau I tried all the tips to rev up my metabolism, but as time wore on and the scale didn’t move, the only thing I lost was my enthusiasm and discipline. I don’t expect it to be easy, but I need something that is simple and that I can incorporate into feeding all of us without having to cook 2 separate meals breakfast lunch and dinner. Thanks for putting yourselves out there as such amazing examples and for coming across as down to earth, approachable people. I wouldn’t even consider writing this if not for that fact. :o)

I just turned 45 and can’t seem to find any time for myself let alone exercise. I have three kids 5 and under and a 6 month old puppy, all of whom are each a bundle of energy. Just trying to keep up with one is hard let alone all of them. Eating meals has become a grab what you can when you can which is the least healthiest way to eat. I’ve gone from a skinny 30 year old who weighed in at 150 to a 45 year old hovering around 200 and that hovering recently is tipping the wrong way. I’ve enjoyed reading your emails and appreciate your generousity with your workouts. You are part of what seems to be a growing trend of fitness professionals who care enough to try and do something. Thanks!!
I hope you have a lot of takers with the lower price and if we can swing it we might try to grab one. As the last poster said, being a single income household leads to tight financial positions. That being said a program like yours would be worth the cost.
Thanks for your efforts.

Scott and Angie
I am a 54 year old woman from South Africa. I have two daughters and 4 grandchildren. I used to go to the gym and always felt healthy and I had so much energy. When my daughters moved out I started to work full time and that is when my problems started, finding the time and the energy to exercise. Always coming up with excuses why I can’t exercise. For the last 10 years we had so many problems, my daughter got divorced and she and her child had to move in with us due to financial reasons. I signed up at the gym again but due to lack of money I had to cancel my subscription. I have read your e-mails with great interest and it so inspired me that I have now started to take walks with my grandchild. I am 10kg overweight and my body fat is quite high, over 30. I feel unhealthy and have no confidence in myself. So I really desperately need help to lose weight and body fat. I have read your articles and I feel so inspired by them thank you so much. It also impresses me that you want to help people to feel good about themselves and that you donate money to charity. My biggest wish now is to also live in optimal health, to get my energy back, so I can play with my grandkids more, and to have confidence in myself again. I am so interesested in your book The Fit Chick, but as mentioned before, money is a bit tight seeing that we are also looking after my daughter and her child.
Thank you for the inspiration and I am always looking forward to your e-mails.
Keep up the good work
Ursula

I am 43 and have been struggling to put my weight under control with no real success. I am especially interested in getting the 6 packs. I looked at your pictures and was very much amazed. What a wonderful couple are you? Hope I can get in a better shape with your program and can’t wait for the day when I send you a nice success story.

Hi Guys! I was really skinny all my life until I had my 2 kids then my weight ballooned. I had to have 2 emergency c sections and in January this year I had to have a hysterectomy as I was quite ill. I have had all of these in the past 5 years so I have not had time to really start excercising properly. I started slowly to get back into shape in the last 4 weeks but am finding it very hard. I have lost 4 pounds so far but I don;t feel it as I have such a wobbly baby belly. I am doing your excercises and can really feel it afterwards deep down but am not sure about losing it off my tummy. I am eating a lot healthier now and my husband is now starting to work out as well which is great. I find already that I have more energy and can see a difference in how I feel - I have more energy for the children now. I can’t wait until I am really fit and will be able to do more. I, like you Scott, run my own business so as you know it is quite stressful so I am hoping the extra energy will help! I am only 5ft tall and 140 pounds, I would be quite happy to get down to 125lbs and be trim and toned but I’m not sure if that will be possible. Here’s hoping!
PS I love your videos!

I’m 55, 5′2″, weighed in at 330 pounds, and successfully lost 100 pounds in 2006. I stalled last August and haven’t lost any more weight since then. I still have another 100 pounds I need to lose. But after not losing anything for 9 months, I’ve lost my belief that I’m capable of losing any more. I’m having trouble continuing my workouts (I think, “What’s the use, I’ve lost all I’m capable of.”)
Your story, your after photos, your generosity are so inspiring; it almost makes me believe I can do this.
Thanks for the chance,
Deb

I have been putting off getting started on a weight loss programme for every reason possible.I have 2 children, the 2nd one by C Section 5 years ago. I fully intended to start exercising 6 weeks after he was born, but 5 years later, here I am, still finding reasons not to start. I have signed up to several fat loss programmes before but I have never actually done them (3 in all). Just not had the motivation. But I have now reached my limit. My clothes dont fit, I feel heavy and unhealthy and I can actually feel myself carrying ‘the fat’ around, it is awful. I think I was reading an email from one of my other fat loss programmes which mentioned ‘the fit chic’ and I logged on. There was something Scott said that really hit home with me and for the first time, I am really ready to start to take the first step to a fitter, thinner me. He said that we were responsible for the way we were (fat) or something like that, and I realised that I had allowed myself to get to that state, and I certainly could turn it around. I was the only one who could do that!! So I’M READY. REALLY REALLY READY. I even went for a jog for the first time in ….. cant remember how many years. I just want to get started as soon as I can because my mind is ready, for the first time, I am mentally ready, and I know that my body will follow.

You two are AWESOME! Now if I can get my ass in gear. I have always been very active. Running 7 days a week, lifting 3 days a week. Well, going through a divorce about 10 years ago I slacked off big time. No, that is no excuse, that is the one time in your life you need to be working out. I turned 47 on March 28th and have not gotten out of my slump. For the past 3 months of was running 5 miles at 4:30am, bootcamp ab workout and would walk another 2 miles at night. Along with every Wednesday I would do a 2 hour cardio session at the local high school. 6-7pm was a cardio dance class(she kicked our butts!) and 7-8pm it was a pilates class. However, not sure what the hell happened but I turned 47 and got depressed. I have never ever been depressed, not even sure that is what you can call it. I just totally stopped and had no desire. I was listening to your motivational speeches and am slowly getting back on track. Both you and Angie are an inspiration. I too want to help the obesity issue we have in this world. I am in the midst of studying for my personal trainer cert and wanted to open a gym/nutritional center. After reading your blurb I am not so sure. I will take that one slowly. Thanks and keep up the GREAT work. ~ Colleen

hiiii,
i am himanshi. i am a chartered accountant cy profession. i am 27 years old. have been receiving yours mails since long time. good to see you and angie in such a good shape. it inspires a lot.basicaaly i live in a very small town where there isnt any facility of a gym and in one or two heath centres there are no proper and qualified triners. so i was really in trouble as i had no choice of gym. then i decided to take up walking as an exercise form and started walking.i used to walk around 5 kms everyday in the morning empty stomach and within two years i managed to reduce 20 pounds.
Now the problem is that walking has stopped effecting me. i think my body is noe used to that exercise form. i dont have any facility of gym at my place and that is a big problem for me.if you can suggest me some workouts which i can carry out without going to gym that would be useful.the main issue is that although i reduced weight but could not achieve six pack abs or a good body shape as is required. i would be grateful if you can help me as i surely need to reduce more and achieve fitness like you and angie.
thanks for all you people are doing
himanshi.

Since my last pregnancy (a multiple one), with a total of 2 c-sections in my life. I’ve had major issues with getting the weight and inches back off. It seems like I’m struggling for energy to keep up with the 3 of them. There is never enough time in the day and I feel guilty blocking out time just for ME. I have started to do more exercise and eating a lot cleaner. I am very interested in your program and love the emails that I receive.

Love your website, and most of all your caring spirit! I told you once you remind me of one of my sons…and I can’t help smiling when I hear you interview someone, see you, or read your blog! You and Angie look fabulous! The work is certainly evident! The son I referred to is in transition moving his family closer to me. He has been with me for a month now, and he works out daily! He has been getting me to work out regularly too! Example: he says ok Mom.. let’s work on our “guns”! And now my arms are getting some definition. I work about 2 miles away, and I started riding bike a few days ago! Boy was I sore the first 2 days!!! I could really feel it in the front of my thighs! My son wants me to work the back/hamstrings, so I don’t get any injuries… Anyway, I want to let you know that I am working with you in trying to obliterate obesity! I am encouraging some women over 40 in church to walk, and exercise. I am steadily working on myself and feeling stronger every day. I have a long way to get to my mentors…but I am pointing myself in the correct direction! Thanks again for all you do!

I love the website. Reading what you have accomplished has motivated me to get rid of my gunt
lol. Currently I am carrying around an extra 25 pounds that I have acquired from a new sedentary type job. I have stopped that downward spiral and am shifting gears towards a more streamlined me through better diet and more activity outside of work. And I want to do it in four months as I am getting married then. Yes I am a guy but want to be submitted in this draw for my fiance, soon to be wife

I was in pretty good shape most of my life. But I was always told my a demanding idiot (now the EX) that I ‘wasn’t thin enough blah blah blah). I ended up leaving that jerk and a few years later found a wonderful (or so I thought) guy. When we got laid off, he gained fat. But it didn’t make me love him any less. However, within a few years, I started to gain fat after being fired from a really good job and dealing with depression. What was his response? Trade me in for a younger model (he is now the ex also).
At first I thought it was me and my weight gain (here HE couldn’t deal with getting older). Things didn’t go well after. My teenage daughter became pregnant, I had a job I hated, and sank even further into food.
Then we had an incident in my apartment complex where a guy tried to take out his girlfriend. It’s the only time I was glad I had the size I did because I was determined that I was not going to let this guy put this gal’s lights out. I went out and stopped him! However, it just made me sink even deeper into food and depression because NO one came to help me save this woman. They all just watched.
Finally last year, I decided to finally step on the scale. The number ‘230′ peered back at me. I finally looked up and said, “well Cat, what’s next? 250? 270? 300? When does it end?”. I finally got the guns out and went back into the gym. I then found Tom Venuto’s website and then this website. I have wanted to pick up these products for awhile. You and Angie are the most motivating and wonderful fitness professional I have ever had the privelege of bookmarking. Whenever I’m having a rough time either fitnesswise or nutrionwise, I come to this site and just read through. You tell the truth with no BS and you put it out there. Your honesty and candor is so freeing. And, unlike the people who just watched from their windows, you two jump right in there to help people out! And for that, I’m eternally grateful!
I’m not to goal yet. But I have gone from an 18 to a 6 and I’m doing it YOUR way!
Thank you Scott and Angie for not standing on the sidelines just selling products! Thanks for your committment to the people who come to you!
If it weren’t for people like you in the industry, alot of us would be in big trouble!

Hello,
I have gained a whopping 60lbs in less than 3 years. Several reasons for this, but not the typical child bearing.
All within 6 months in mid 2005
*I started a new job in which I am on my feet all day, but very sedentary while working. From this job I developed plantar faciitis and achilles tendonitis. So I stopped exercising, which I love, because my feet and ankles hurt so bad.
*I began a new relationship and we both enjoy food and over did it with the restaurant portions for years because we work different shifts and don’t like to cook.
*Also, we bought a new house in Sept 2005 and now have the wonderful feeling of the drop in the housing market.
So for the good news! I decided to eat smaller portions and make healthier choices. Joined a 12 week program at ladies gym with the interval style training. Not as challenging a workout as I was used to, but at least I’m off my feet most of the time on the strength machines and I am execising!!! I quit the job so my feet can heal and I’ve decide not to stress about the mortgage. I have to care for my health before my finances. I realize both are important, but 1st things 1st.
I found your website through a link somewhere and I am very excited for you and Angie. Congratulations on reaching your goals and making your dreams come true! Your story is very motivating and has reminded me that there always a way to do what you love and still have plenty of time for loved ones!
Thank you so much for the encouragement,
Janel

Since April 1st I’ve been devouring all the great information you’ve put out (generously)on your website, blogs and podcasts. Put into action right away eating healthy, weight and HIIT training. I even gave up cold turkey sugar substitutes and my cravings virtually disappeared! I have a game plan (switching up workouts and phases of course!) for the next 8 weeks and would love to have the year of Fit Chic workouts. I’ve lost 10 lbs. already but my focus is on losing fat and gaining muscle. I’m a 45 year old woman, told I look great for my age (I HATE that) but I know what I’m capable of accomplishing and will not limit myself. I’m married and have a beautiful 4 year old little boy. He asked the other morning did you work out?! I said yes (what are you my trainer?!) I get up at 4:50am every morning for a workout so I have that time just for myself. I’d like to be in great shape when he starts kindergarten in Sept and be an inspiration to other mothers especially. I feel the greatest gifts I can give my son is the knowledge and importance of the love of Self and of lifelong good health and fitness. You and Angie look great (my husband wondered at first what I was looking at when I first went on your website!) and you can absolutely tell you guys are in it from the heart. I have the same concern about the kids in our society being burdened by obesity, I see it in my son’s school. Keep up the great work and your interviews with these amazing people with such passion are truly inspiring!!!!!

Angie & Scott,
You look fantastic! Hopefully I’ll be close to that soon. I’m 28 yrs old, 5′ & 138 lbs. I’ve been overweight since childhood and at the most was 170 lbs. I lost 40+ lbs with Adkins diet & working out at the gym, but gained some back & have been stuck at 138-140 for the last 2 years. I’ve let life and being busy get in the way of what I’ve wanted to be, but now I’m done with that! I’m going on a vacation in July & want to look good on the beach, feel good doing everything, and just have fun instead of worrying about how I look. I’m really wanting to try your systems because I see your results and I think you can really make a change in people’s lives. I’m willing to blog my experience to help you go further in your quest to obliterate obesity.
Thanks for considering me,
Viola

Hello scott and angie,
First of all i would like to say welldone on reaching your fitness goals. You both look fantastic. It is just proof that if you stay foucsed and work hard you can acheive your goals. I am singel mom with a wonderfull little girl who is the light of my life. Last year i finally got fed up being overweight and tired all the time. I wasnt hugely over weight but i still found my knees were often sore and i couldnt keep up with my daughter. With all those things in mind i decided to start my journey to healther new me.
Since then i have started a regular excercise routine, cut my portions and have even ended the horrid cycle of emotional eating. I have lost 52pounds up to date and have the wall. As you can guess this has knocked back my confidence just a tad. I found your web site from a link off mike gearys site The Truth About ABS. After seeing your videos and reading your blogs i have new found hope that i can and will reach my goals with out spending all my time in a gym or hard earned money. Look forward to reading and hearing more for you guys.
Thank you so much.
I have cut down my portion sized have nearly stoped the horrid cycle of emotional eating.

Well, I shall begin that I wasnt born skinny but I was fit. Up until the age of 10 I was very athletic to a certain level. Just a month before my birthday my lungs did a number on me and started to deteriorate, I was in hospital for a month but after I was in hospital I started gaining more weight. And with that, my family didnt help. They put me down and told me I had no hope. I graduated elementary school and started homeschooling. I was never “fat” but I had too much meat in all the wrong places. Homeschooling just gave me a reason not to exercise because there was no P.E. I always thought I could never lose weight and look fit. Until a year ago I came across your site. It has inspired me and I used to watch your little demos of exercise. It helped a great deal. the fact was, I never got a hold of how living healthy and being fit isnt temporary but permanent. I am so determined and I feel like if I could have what you and your wife did to be so fit then I can do it, too. I think it would help me feel confident about myself. My days of thinking I am just unlucky would all come to an end. I hope my story will mean something. It would mean the world to me to really look different. And show people that ANYONE can do it. Even my mom who is overweight with high blood pressure would be convinced that she can do it.

Hi Angie and Scott!
You two are great. Thank you for this opportunity. I’ve been working out four to five days a week for the past month and a half but I have not seen any changes in weight or anything. I could sure use some help and direction. I need to loose at least 50 lbs to be healthy. I eat healthy foods and I think my portions are reasonable. Every time I go to the gym I’m on the treadmill for 45 minutes walking at a good pace, (I can’t run just yet because of my shins.) I am also doing weight lifting. I just had my numbers checked and all is well there, (I have a resting heart rate of 54 beats per minute and all my other numbers are good also.) I’m not sure what the problem is but I’m hoping you can help. Thank you again for this opportunity! I sure hope I win!

I have been a yo-yo with my weight my whole life. If I’m not losing I am gaining. I am 41 have 4 kids including 15month old twins. I desperately want to be fit and healthy, not just for my kids, for me to have a happy life with my wonderful husband too. I have been a gym junkie, I have tried every diet… I think I’m a bit of a pain with my friends because I think I know it all (about weight-loss and fitness) yet I dont seem to be able to keep the mindset to persevere with anything. Life just gets so busy. I am ashamed of my body and wish I could get my act together once and for all.
If you have any advice, please, give it, don’t hold back.

Hello, I am 51 years of age and am employed as a commercial truck driver. I would really appreciate being the owner of some six pack abs because in my day to day travels it appears the only sets of six pack abs I get to see seem to all come from Milwaukee.
