Well I know I am late in getting this in but i thought I would still write. I have been battling with weight for some time it is not that i eat cause I am bored or cause I am stressed i just have had this belly since i was little I have hated it and really dont know why my wife even looks at me. I weigh 220 currently at 5'11". My legs and arms are normal but I can seem to lose the belly, i bike eat well but get discouraged and decide not to do it anymore. I have taken pills and have other then the sticking the finger in my mouth, done it all. I guess I need the bott in the butt to get it done and maybe this would be it. Congrats to all who have done it and to you guys who have given so much inspiration to others. I think I deserve to do it for my two young kids and beautiful wife. Thanks for listening...if you even read these still

Hi Angie,
My town was rated the fattest in the state. That's based on driver's licenses. However, the habits that made the parents that was, most of the time pass down to the children. There are kids that are very overweight and it's upsetting.
My town has started an initiative called "Activate". We have a nice bike path and an indoor running track available to the public. The school district has changed their menu to be healthier.

I think that targeting the schools, youth groups, YMCA, YWCA, and parents is the way to go. Get the word going from the kids to parents, parents to kids, school to parents and kids, youth groups to community, etc... This is war and attacking obesity on all fronts is a must to make a huge difference. If the message is sent to one then it may not filter to who needs the help.

As far as a product, do local school trainings. Get with the young principals and gym teachers. Do this in elementary schools, where it will make a bigger difference. Then package that and offer that fun training. I think the end result will be that it has to be targeted to the kids. They are the ones who are moldable in their young age. They are the ones who will impact the world in a healthier way.

Even though the contest has closed, I have to say that I was fascinated and certainly can identify with many things you have written. Congratulations on realizing you need to take action and sharing your stories with the readers.

Scott and Bob,

Three years ago I developed neuropathy in my right leg and foot.
Since then I have put on about forty pounds. My biggest challenge is
getting up and around due to pain and weakness, primarily during the cold winters here in Illinois.
This inactivity has lead to other health concerns which will lead to more severe health issues down the road.

I started internet marketing about a year ago and have learned a lot.
Taking this knowledge to the next level is being hampered by my overall health.
I believe losing the extra weight would improve my energy to a point where I could concentrate better, improve my families financial situation and grow my business with enthusiasm that sometimes has been lacking.

This obesity problem has spread through my family and I would also like to be able to help my wife and daughter.

If your program could help me, that would be terrific.
