As a friend and follower of Nick Nilsson and BetterU Fitness, you now have a chance to win the 3 fat loss products ($141 value), that Scott and Angie Tousignant used to achieve 6 pack abs. For your chance to win, simply enter The Big Give Health Challenge below by submitting your story about why you should be selected at the end of this blog post. Nick and I will be reading through your stories and on April 27th we will choose a winner.
About The Big Give Health Challenge
Oprah’s show The Big Give has inspired me to come up with my spin on her show in an effort to leave a legacy of positively impacting the health of as many people as I can. In fact it is my destiny to reverse the obesity trend and get millions of people living the life that they deserve in the body that they deserve.
I’m inviting Nick to give away all 3 of my fat loss products, “Unstoppable Fat Loss“, “The Fit Chic“, and “The Fit Bastard“, to one lucky person through the Big Give Health Challenge.
As I mentioned, it’s my destiny to reverse the obesity trend and it’s my hope that the winner of each of my Big Give Health Challenges will apply the quick and effective 10 to 20 minute workouts and the powerful motivation techniques in my programs to transform their body and become a role model to inspire others to live in optimal health.
Giving To Charities
The Big Give Health Challenge is much more than just giving my 3 fat loss programs away to a few lucky people…
Every month I am giving a percentage of my sales to after school programs that promote healthy active living for today’s youth. My goal is to give at least $1,000 each month.
As of right now the program that I’m choosing is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s After School All-Stars.
If you have any suggestions please send them my way.
My Fat Loss Journey
For most of my life I was in great shape. A bit skinny, but definitely great shape. I fulfilled my dream of opening my own health club, got married to my beautiful wife Angie, and together we have 2 amazing children, Shayne and Noelle.
Owning a health club was not all that I thought it was cracked up to be. 16 hour days and stress out of the wazzu. Not being able to spend time with my family and the demands of my business led me down the path of depression and I gained 35 pounds of fat.
I went from thin and athletic to this…

I realized that I was on my way to becoming a statistic. I didn’t want to be a contributor to the rise in obesity.
Even more important, I didn’t want to completely burn myself out and make myself useless to my wife and kids. I wanted the balance back in my life that I once had. I wanted my energy back and I wanted my confidence back.
I closed my health club, continued to train a select few clients in the comfort of their home, created a time efficient and highly effective workout program to use on myself and Angie and turned them into books.
The results from applying the techniques in my programs have changed our lives. Our relationship has risen to a new level, we can keep up with our 2 young children, our business has grown, our confidence has skyrocketed, and we have an overwhelming zest for life.
Just take a look at these recent pictures of me and my wife Angie…

If I could take the feelings and emotions that Angie and I are experiencing now that we are living in optimal health and allow you to experience them for one full day, you would drop everything and do whatever it takes to live like this every day.
Better yet… If I could allow you to experience what your life would be like if you placed your health as your #1 priority, you would allow nothing to get in your way of achieving this lifestyle.
Don’t sell yourself short. Live the life that you deserve!

I would like to enter your contest because I am having trouble with loosing fat. I have been stuck for the last couple of years and am unable to get past this plateau I am on. I have lost the same 5 lbs. for the last year. Nothing I have tried is working and I have tried a lot of things to get past this and down to a reasonable size in the waste. My son is turning 13 this summer and I would love to be able to fully enjoy all the activities with him in the first years of him becoming an adult. He is my world and everything I do is for him. He is into Tae Kwon Do and Boyscouts and I try to enjoy these activities with him, but sometimes the extra weight is just dragging me down. He looks to me as his hero and sometimes I just am not up to snuff.
Thanks for hearing me out and best of luck with the contest.

I have never been what anyone might call “toned and cut”. When I graduated in 1980, I was 5′7″ and weighed about 135 lbs. Not bad, but no six pack, no definition, which I now know was due to my diet. I was in decent shape. A few years later, I married a wonderful cook. Over the next decade, I exploded. My highest “official” weight was 265 (it might have been higher). In 2000, I was removed from a ride at an amusement park because they could not latch the safety bar. That was the turning point for me. By 2006, I was down to 185 by watching what I ate, cardio and resistance training. I look much better, but I have hit a plateau. I would like, for the first time in my life, to have no “inner tube” around my waist. I think that 15 to 20 lbs of fat removal will do the trick. I have been searching the internet and trying anything that I thought might work, including the CTF program, but have not had a breakthrough. I still do cardio and resistance training 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes. Is your program the one that will give me the shape I am lookng for at last? I sure hope so and I hope you choose me as the winner.

Hello:
I’m not really sure why I am writing this because the cost of your program is not an issue with me and it’s not like I have the need to win something for free. Two and a half years ago I went through a divorce after 12 years of marriage and 3 kids. I used this to begin a spiral downward that has still not stopped. I went from just shy of 15 years without alcohol or tobacco, 6′1″ and 185 lbs. with 12 1/2% body fat, running competitive distances from the 5k through the marathon and weight training faithfully 3 times per week to drinking and smoking daily (more than socially although I have stopped the drinking again at least), no more weights or running or any other exercise for that matter, 235 lbs. with 32% body fat, high cholesterol and high blood pressure medication and a myriad of other lifestyle problems. Needless to say, I feel pretty crappy about myself at this time and want desperately to make some changes in my appearance and the way I feel. In terms of diet and workout I get emails from all you guys every day and have looked over all the programs. They all sound good and promising but it leaves me rather confused as to which would be right for me. Maybe your’s is the program I need to get back to where I was. Anyway, I don’t want this to sound like a sob story but rather as someone who is desparate to make a change and maybe what you are offering is just what I need. I would be honered to try your program and give it my best shot. Thanks for your consideration.

10 years ago I was a fitness/weights instructor and had achieved my ideal body.
I made a career change which involved long hours behind a desk. Eventually the demands of my job became so extreme that I had no time to exercise at all. After 2 years without training, I became self employed and resolved to regain my fitness. But this winter I caught pneumonia. I lost 7lb in 7 days and became very weak. For 2 months after the illness I was able to do little more than eat and sleep so I gained weight, and 3 months later I still have little stamina to sustain exercise. I am now the heaviest I have been since I was on the pill!! I am not overweight from a medical point of view, but I want my slim body back. I’m 5′7″ and 140lb. I need to lose 10lb but my body is resisting!
Now I can do 30mins each day on my mountain bike. I need a way to regain muscle without stressing my body, and to get back the stamina I need to sustain strenuous exercise.

This will be for my dear sweet friend who is overweight and would love to be back to high school form again.

ive been very interested in fitness and sport since i was young. Two and half years ago.I had a car crash and recieved brain damage. But on my journey coping with brain damage ive been told that fitness does the brain really good.I am obsesive in my fitness and eating healthy. I did nick nielson metobolic surge program which was great. He seems like the mad fitness guru but i love it.He makes me smile a lot and i talk to people about his ideas. But i myself am wondering what to do next.Winning your program would be so good.Because i dont have much money to buy things because my brain damage affects my work.So earning is slow.So the money coming in is to.But focusing on fitness is one thing i want to do and can do, also my brain gets better to.So its a must.So you see why it would be good to win. PS nick knows a little about brain injury.Cause he told me via email when i had a question while doing metobolic surge. By for yo later kev from the uk

I would like to win this health challenge one just to win something. But the real reason is I have been overweight my whole life 200+ and just the end of last year something clicked in me and I got serious as of today I have lost 30 lbs which is good, but know I am on a plateau my goal is to lose another 25 lbs and 8 inches from my thighs and hips. This is important to me because I feel as if I am at a turning point, If I don’t go all the way which is to achieve my goal then I could go back, so I need something that is going to take me straight through to the end, I really feel that this is it, I have lost and gain for too long I need to push to the end, I would love this program and your help.

Hi Guys,
Loved the photos and the fact that you used the shoot as motivation to keep yourselves on track. Fantastic idea. I myself gave up my gym membership 6 months ago and although I love to exercise I find myself lost to keeping it up regularly and with some solid structure. That is why I would love to win your products to give me those things I’m missing. I have been stuck at this weight and body fat % for years now and can’t seem to break the barrier. I’m what you call a “Skinny fat person”. I’m a size 8 but have flabby butt, hips and thighs and a pouchy lower stomach. Five years of continual gym workouts has not helped and neither is trying to do it on my own. I need your program to supply me with help and guidance. It is frustrating seeing that what you want is so close but not having the tools or structure or knowledge to get you there. HELP.
Thank you and well done on your efforts. You are both an inspiration.

Like everybody else on the mission to lose weight, I have tried every fad diet out there. I’ve listened to all the “experts”. Big suprise that I weight more now then when I first started wanting to lose weight. I’m at my wits end. There are so many programs out there and so much “expert” advice. It’s hard to say what is a good way and what is a bad way to lose weight. I am certainly fed up with all the ads and infomercials about this pill or that liquid that will burn the fat right off your body without you doing anything.
I’m at a point in my life where I need to be healthy. I am a single parent to 3 young children. If I don’t get healthy, I can’t teach them to be healthy and I certainly won’t be here while they grow up. I want the energy to play with them. I don’t want to feel so self concious about my weight when we go to the park or are around school functions. Just today I was standing in line somewhere and I new the man looking at me was appalled at how disgusting I look. I can’t live like this anymore. I need to feel good about myself. I need to show my children how important diet and exercise are so they grow up healthy adults. I can’t do that without the knowledge and I know that’s what I lack. With these programs, I can learn what it takes to be fit and healthy and I will know how to teach my children to be the same. Thank you so much for offering this opportunity, I know so many people out there deserve a chance at being healthy.

I have recently begun working at getting back to eating healthy and trying to reverse the effects of growing older….. a growing mid-section. I have made great strides in doing so, having lost 34 lbs since December and gaining strength through daily training. Right now my problem is body fat percentage. Although I have dropped 5% since December, it has been dropping slower than I like. I am needing a program tailored and geared towards losing the fat around the middle and turning that into lean mass. Thanks for the chance.
April 24th, 2008 at 11:25 pm
I used to weigh 530 pounds. Thanks to weight loss surgery, I have lost 320 pounds in almost two years. Now that I’m at a weight where I can actually work on being more fit and toned, I’m very motivated to do exactly that! I need to lose 35 more pounds, and to do that, I need to reduce my percentage of body fat and build more muscle. I turned 50 in December, and am looking forward to spending the next half of my life healthy and in shape.

First off congrats on your success with you fight against weight. Now for me, I am a 32 year old father of 2 11yo daughter and 5yo son. When i got married 8 years ago I weighed 180 pounds and was in good shape. I was in a car accident and the vehicle rolled 5 times and I herniated l3, l4 and l5 discs. Out of commision for a while the weight just seemed to pack on all around my waist. I tried to get back into the gym but through all the pain and discomfort I had to stop. Through a few years of physical therapy to strengthen the lower back I am now ok to start working out again. I would like to be back down to 180 and running with my kids. I missed out on the early years of chasing them around the yard because after like 10 minutes my back would be killing and I would have to lay down. I see how this helped you out in your life and would like the opportunity for it to do the same for me. My kids are my world and it would mean so much for them and me to be able to run around and not get winded. Thanks alot and great job.

I’m a 41 years old man. 3 years ago my weight went from 80 to 88 kg, and with 182 cm height I was fat. I didn’t work out almost at all at that time, when I had so much extra weight and all of it fat. I made a decision to change and joined a gym. I started to working out 6 times / week and got my weight down to 75 kg. The problem is, that everywhere else on my body I’m still skinny, but I have quite a lot stubborn bellyfat, and my fat-% measured with an electrical device is still 19 %. Despite a lot of cardio (interval Indoor Cycling, running and dancing) and lifting weights 2-3 times / week I’m stuck. Despite changing weightlifting programs aproximately every 3 months and eating 4-5 times / day pretty healthy, I’m stuck. I don’t seem to gain almost any muscle and don’t loose fat. I would like to get my fat-% down to single figures and gain some muscle. Can you please help me?

Thank you for all the people you have helped and will be helping with your big give. Since I was a young girl I always thought I was fat, in this state of mind I created what I did not want at 5′ 9” I weighed 155 lbs now when I look at my pictures of my teens and twenties I grinch , saying what if I knew what I know now I was lean , and just a little out of shape. Now at 44 I weight 223 I am in muscular shape but the weight just stays. For the last 20 years I’ve been training an average 4 times a week.(some years being 7x and 2 years none because of overtraining) I need your help to get back the energy I know is hidden under my layers of fat. I don’t want to be 155 now I will enjoy 178-185lbs (since my lean mass is at 148lbs). And my friend and I can get back into shape and stay in shape,. lets all think health and well being.

Hello,
I’m entering because I’ve been very healthy and in great shape for the past 6-7 years (5′7″ at 125 lbs with about 16% BF). In January however, menopause and a hypothyroid problem hit me like a ton of bricks and I lost all interest in exercising. My good nutritional sense has gone out of the window. I’ve gained over 15 lbs. and lost all the wonderful muscular development that I had.
I must regain myself again. I don’t know who I am right now. Please help!

Hi guys!
I’m an avid workout fan and a fan of your monthly newsletter. I’ve used it to help me continue to transform my own body and add to my arsenal of workout routines. However, I’d like to enter this contest for my mother. She is a beautiful woman with much to offer, but she has struggled with her weight and as a result her confidence as well for many years. She’s going through a rough time in her life right now with a divorce looming. I believe that this program is just what she needs to help her re-ignite her passion and zest for life and to move forward in her life through all the current difficulties, to a better quality of life, sustained happiness, and satisfactory self-image. Please help her get her swagger back! Thank you.

I am a 53 Y/O male that has gone from working out for over 3 years and in great shape to a somewhat fat (220 #, 23% BF) out of shape man. I am turning 54 in July and would love to get back to how I was in my 20’s when I was 180# and very athletic looking. I now work mostly in an office job, Traffic Engineer, where not much physical work is done. I just feel like crap and am ashamed of my looks and my health is going down, cholestrol is up and blood pressure is inching up as well. My knees hurt all the time and I am sure it is part of this weight gain. I would like to be a role model for all those over 50 who think it cannot be done. I also look forward to being able to play with my grandchildren when my kids have theirs.

Hi, I’m a personal trainer in South Africa and would love to be able to help my clients further progress in their health and fitness goals, many of whom are either obese, extremely overweight or need to increase their muscle mass. I love this industry as we are able to transform and enhance everyones lives we come in contact with. I look forward to being the one to help them with the added tools you can provide. Thank YOU!

I am 74 years old or, should I say “young”, because I am in better shape than most men in their 30′ and 40’s. I also have no illness or handicaps, and I can probably arm wrestling down most people half my age.
I am not a physical fitness profession either. In fact, I worked for IBM for 32 years and retired a corporate executive. Now I am enjoying a healthy and happy retired life, doing all kinds of fun things with out any restriction.
I accomplished all this by living a healthy lifestyle that is very easy to follow, and anybody with a little determination can do it.
I have just returned form Shanghai, China, where I was invited by two top universities to give a lecture on how you can be rich and wealthy, and be happy all your life. If you wish, I can send you some of my recent photos.

Hello,
First of all, I did not know there would be something like this, otherwise I would have wrote sooner. Allow me to tell you my story. I am not obese by any means. My issues have been that I have not had time to get into shape. I work as a Security Officer currently and I work the Graveyard shift, which makes it extremely hard to do anything on the days I work, because I need the rest prior to going to work. I am very active in my job and as a result I get tired easily. I have been trying out for several Law Enforcement Agencies, including Federal Agencies, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Border Patrol. First off, my issue with ICE was that their training is in Georgia, and I was there during the late spring, early summer months. As a result, because I have Asthma, I had to resign from training because I could not complete a session due to having Asthma Attacks. Plus I was not able to do what others could, as far as pushups, situps, running, etc. Ever since then, my life has gone down hill. I have had 3 jobs within the last year, all of which never paid enough to support my family. Also it has sent us into a spiral of things. We are on the brink of Divorce (My wife and I), all because I cannot stay in shape and get into the Agencies I want. I am unable to do enough pushups due to lack of upper body strength, I can barely run, due to the Asthma issue, and Doing other things is tiring as well. When I start a routine, I can never stay with it, therefore I lose what I gained, or never build it any better. I need help, and fast, as I have applied to the Immigration job once more. Any suggestions, please let me know. I appreciate what you do, and keep it up. Help people like me and many others.

By the way, we do not have a lot of money, therefore I cannot spend much, especially to get into a Gym.
